About Me

My name is Cathryn Paternoster. I am the wife of a very popular and charismatic Stake President in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I currently serve as the ward young womens president. I am excited to share stories with LDS sisters everywhere about my husband in his calling and about the dear precious young women whom I have been called to serve.

The temptation to get Brazilians....

I overheard a couple of church member sisters in my neighbourhood speaking about getting Brazilians.  When they came back home 2 hours later I noticed they weren’t walking normally.
Surely no good can come from what they are doing.
I looked it up online and think I understand now.  Should I talk to President Paternoster about this? Perhaps I should bring it up in ward council first.

  1. Wow, that is a fine Brazilian! Remind me to say I speak Portuguese when I put in my mission papers!

  2. There is a lot of consern that you and your husband are antiMormons. Since it is Sunday and your "Stake Pres" husband will not have much time to check his web site, I am repeating our challange here;

    "Every branch president, bishop, stake president, and all the general church leadership are listed in a separate web site to which authorized people have access. The instant that MLS is updated and the updates are confirmed, the names of new leaders appear in it. Paternoster is lying when he says that his directory has not been updated. If he had been called two days ago, that might be the case. He has been running his site since January.

    Let me just throw out this challenge. Mr. Paternoster, if you are a stake president, you have access to the CDOL. That means you can look me up in it. My name is there. Please, log onto the CDOL today and give me a call this afternoon. I'm the only Gregory West listed in Virginia. The CDOL has my phone number. Give me a call this afternoon! I know stake presidents are busy men. If not today, sometime this week maybe? I'll be waiting for your call!"

    please pass it on.
    thanks

  5. I fail to understand why President West would like to challenge what is obviously such well intended blogs? If I read correctly, Sister Paternoster is simply interested in preserving the righteousness of her ward and protecting the young women in her charge from Brazilians. Didn't Joseph Smith's own wife do the same when she discussed mens' use of tobacco with him? Didn't this ultimately leda to the revelation of the Word of Wisdom?

    President West, why do you harbor such misgivings? Surely that festers in your soul! Maybe President Paternoster CAN help you to sweeten your words and soften your heart. He is truly a Godly man, as his wife is a Godly woman!

  6. That is very kind of you RidingM.
    Mr. West confrontation makes me very uncomfortable. Name calling and belittling will never get you anywhere in life. I am very proud of my Husband's blog and the work he is doing to bring the gospel truths to others through the Internet. He can not control how the message is received he can only control how it is given. It is my hope that those who are humble enough will open their eyes and hearts to the truths that our leaders have given us through the direction of the Lord.

  7. "Mr. West confrontation makes me very uncomfortable."

    You folks could solve your problem by just truefully and openly answer the question.

    As it is tou look like you have something to hide.

    Any true Church member would be happy to do what you folks do not want to do.
